I currently cover the main areas of Larkhall, Stonehouse, Ashgill, Netherburn and Ferniegair. Any outwith areas may be subject to discussion based on availability requirements and services required. My main operating area is Larkhall.

Do you offer a free meet & greet?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely!  I offer a free meet & greet to say hello to both yourself and your puppy to ensure they are comfortable and happy, all going well! This is around 45-60 minutes worth to ensure plenty of opportunity to ask myself as many questions that you have in regards to the service, my business, for your dog and the process that happens next. This also gives me a chance to discuss your dog's needs, routine, behaviours and to overall ensure we're a good fit!

Do you offer solo walks?

At the minute my weekly regular solo walks are currently fully booked. However, this does not include one-off solo walks that can be implemented on days of requirement with possible availability so please don't hesitate to ask for a one-off solo walk if required and when. This can be discussed via messaging channels, please include this as a specified "one-off solo walk" and I will respond with any availability.

Are you insured & DBS checked?

Yes, I am insured annually and recently disclosure checked (2025) with the provider of Protectivity (insurance) that includes a policy of walking a maximum of 6 dogs in a group walk (2025-2026) this is subject to change based on the next insurance renewal and will be updated on the website.

What days and hours do you operate?

I operate on a weekly Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:30am - 4:00pm for walks and contactable from 7:00am to 7:00pm for enquiries, daily updates or next day messages. Emergencies will be responded to ASAP as viable.  Saturdays and Sundays are NOT available for regular walks however are up for discussion for rotating schedules that include a one-off weekend requirement.

What happens if my dog becomes ill while in your care?

A situation no dog walker ever has to experience, but one that should have a plan of how to deal with it safely, effectively and most importantly in good time. I will contact you immediately via the contact details provided as first contacts (e,g yourself, partner, relative) and seek veterinary treatment if required, if no answer from the first contacts, I will move to the secondary contacts listed as "emergency contacts" provided in the contract (e,g your secondary contact - parents, friends, other relatives)If veterinary treatment is required, they will be transported immediately to the Vets for treatment. For other clients, this may require walks to be postponed or cancelled on the day and will always be contacted ASAP once available.

Do you offer pet sitting or boarding?

As it currently stands, I do not offer boarding. I also do not offer pet sitting as a service however I am in current deliberation of offering pet sitting to existing dog walking and let-out clients. If you are a current client looking for this service please contact me to discuss further. Any non dog walking clients looking for pet sitting or boarding, I do not offer this service however would happily recommend local trusted providers to accommodate your requirements if you would like to contact for information.

What qualifications do you have?

Whilst there isn't anything to qualify or certify a dog walker, I've obtained a few certifications to better my knowledge, understanding when I began my dog walking business. I have both dog behaviour and dog walking/sitting qualifications from the UKRS accredited including Animal Law & Regulations, Animal Healthcare, Canine & Feline First Aid, Nutrition & Healthy Diet and Emergency Situations. I own a recent 2025 disclosure check and a 2025 first aid.

I've never had a dog walker before, how does the process work?

Not a problem at all! We start with the enquiry of what you're looking for, where and when. Once everything is confirmed, we move onto the initial meet and greet scheduled so I can get to know you and your pup. This gives us a chance to discuss your dog's routines, personality, walking preferences and habits, I will also bring along my T&C contracts so you are able to fill them out in your own time before the first walk. Once you're ready to move forward, we'll confirm your walking schedule, preferred access method (key, lockbox etc) alongside emergency contacts and T&Cs. At the scheduled date and time, I'll arrive and take your dog for their first walk, this may take extra time for them to get used to myself taking them out of the house comfortably, getting them used to the vehicle, and ensuring they feel safe and comfortable throughout the walk. After the walk, once they've arrived safely back home, you will receive an update with details about the visit, including a summary of the walk, behaviour notes, and lots of photos. Once settled in over a couple of weeks, I tend to send updates at the end of the working day instead of straight after the walks unless any information is required to be sent ASAP (such as feeding updates if necessary, emergency let-outs, issues on the walk or issues with picking up or dropping off). This process will take time but after the first few weeks they'll be into their routine in no time, with tails wagging ready to go, diving straight into the vehicle, ready to go play and run around with their buddies!
